Hey there! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Sounds like a pretty gnarly situation with your Santa Fe you had there, but I'm glad it all ended well. Just to get a better sense of what I might be in for, do you remember the ballpark figure you shelled out for parts and labor? And since you got it fixed, were there any more unexpected surprises with the system or anything else? Hoping the Hyundai gods will be kinder to my H1!
Hey, no problem at all! To give you a bit of a heads-up, the cost for getting my Infotainment system back on track mounted up to around 815 Euro. It wasn't exactly a penny change, I'll admit, but it did solve the whole mess. They sorted out the hands-free mic system as well during the process. Since having it sorted by those knowledgeable mechanics, I've had a smoother ride - no unpleasant surprises from then on. It's a relief, to be honest. The system's been working brilliantly and my drive's been way more enjoyable and less distracting without having to pull over to take calls. Fingers crossed you get your H1 back in perfect shape. Keep me posted!
Wow, 815 Euro! That's a tad high but if it means a perfectly running system, I guess it's worth a shot. I appreciate your input, really gave me good insight on what I'll be dealing with. With your positive experience, it's soothing to know that all will be well with a proper fix by professionals. Also, your trouble-free rides from then onwards are making me hopeful about not experiencing the hassle of mid-drive phone-calls. Thanks again for your advice and kind encouragement. I'll definitely keep you updated on the aftermath at the garage. Cheers!
Hey! I totally get your frustration. I had a similar issue last year with my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was up with the Infotainment system. Thought it was just being quirky, then it failed to operate outright. Took it into the garage, diagnosis was that the Infotainment system was defective. Some wiring was also messed up particularly from the microphone to the main system. They needed to replace some parts of it and rewire a bit. In terms of seriousness, it was a pretty big job, not something you'd expect with such low mileage. But hey, once it was fixed, it was like brand new. No more missed calls or having to pull over to take them. Hopefully, your issue isn't as severe, but if it is, a solid fix does wonders. Good luck!
