How to Clear Passenger Airbag Light After Seatbelt Connector Issue?

I recently disconnected the passenger side safety belt connector underneath the seat of my Mercedes Vianovito without disconnecting the battery. Now, a passenger airbag warning light has appeared on the dashboard. I tried using Carly to diagnose and clear the light, but it doesn't detect the issue. The connector and battery are now reconnected. How can I resolve this problem and clear the airbag warning light?

Try disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes to reset the system, then reconnect it and check if the warning light clears. If the light persists, it might be necessary to use a more advanced diagnostic tool that can specifically address airbag system errors. Let me know how it goes or if you have further questions!

Had to recharge battery overnight the other day, after reconnecting battery after charge still error persists, so with more advanced diagnostics you mean visit a Mercedes dealer? this is also what the car pops out on the dashboar

Yes, visiting a Mercedes dealer or a certified mechanic with advanced diagnostic tools would be the best option. They can specifically address airbag system errors and ensure everything is functioning correctly. Since the airbag system is crucial for safety, it's important to have it checked by a professional. Let me know if you have any further questions!
