Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with right now. Glad to hear you got it sorted out with the fluid flush and filter replacement. Would you mind sharing how much the whole repair set you back? Also, just curious, have you had any other transmission problems since the fix? Really trying to figure out if I should expect any follow-up issues.
Hey again! Great news, I wanted to update you after seeing your questions. Since my last reply, I actually took my CR-Z back to a transmission specialist and they found it was indeed the transmission oil pressure that was faulty. They also discovered the transmission oil level was too low, just like in my initial diagnosis. The total fix came to 365€ and honestly, it was money well spent! I'm really happy to report that since getting it fixed, my transmission has been running like a dream. No more weird noises, no slipping, and the shifts are butter smooth now. It's been about 25,000 km since the repair and I haven't had a single transmission-related issue pop up. My advice would be to get it checked out ASAP, the symptoms you're describing are super similar to what I dealt with, and letting it go could lead to way bigger problems. Better to spend a bit now than face a complete transmission replacement later, you know? Let me know if you need any other info about my experience with the repair. Always happy to help another Honda owner out!
Thanks so much for all the detailed info! I actually went ahead and got my S660 checked out by a transmission specialist after reading your first message. You were spot on, it was low fluid and needed a pressure adjustment. The whole thing cost me about 400 bucks, including parts and labor. What a relief! My car's running so much smoother now. The grinding noise is completely gone, and the shifting feels like new again. The mechanic I found was super honest and showed me exactly what was wrong. Way better experience than my last garage visit. Funny how similar our issues were! Really glad I didn't wait any longer to get it fixed. The mechanic said the same thing about catching it early, could've been looking at a complete transmission replacement if I'd kept driving it like that. Thanks again for sharing your experience. It really helped me make the right decision to get it fixed right away. Time to enjoy my smooth-shifting Honda again!
Hey there! I had very similar issues with my 2014 Honda CR-Z last year. The symptoms you're describing, whining noise, rough shifts, and slipping, match exactly what I experienced. Turned out my transmission fluid was critically low and had degraded pretty badly. Took it to a garage where they found metal particles in the old fluid, suggesting internal wear. They did a complete transmission fluid flush, replaced the filter, and adjusted the pressure. It was definitely a serious issue that needed immediate attention, if left unfixed, it could've led to complete transmission failure. After the fix, the transmission shifted smoothly again and all the weird noises disappeared. The repair was absolutely worth it considering a full transmission replacement would've been much more extensive. Been running great for 15k km since then. Given your symptoms, I'd strongly recommend getting it checked soon, these issues tend to get worse quickly. Just make sure to find a reputable transmission specialist rather than a general mechanic. Hope this helps!
