Honda Jazz Hybrid Seat Heater Not Working, Solutions Needed

Seat heating without function

Hi everyone! My 2021 Honda Jazz Hybrid has an issue with the seat heating, it's completely unresponsive. Has anyone dealt with similar problems? I'm particularly interested in hearing about successful repairs and workshop solutions. What was the actual problem and how was it fixed? Would appreciate your insights before I take it to a mechanic. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I have some experience with cars and recently dealt with a similar issue on my 2019 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The seat heating completely stopped working one day, super annoying, especially during cold weather! Took it to my regular workshop and turns out the heating mat in the driver's seat was defective. They had to replace the entire heating element. The whole thing cost me 390 Euro, but it's been working perfectly since then. Before you head to the workshop, could you share if both seats are affected or just one? And have you noticed any warning lights on the dashboard? This info would help me give you more specific advice based on my experience. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any other details.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm having the issue with the driver's side only, and no warning lights showing up. Really helpful to know about the heating mat, that might be what's going on with mine too. My Jazz has done 288,668 KM and just had its service last month, but they didn't check the seat heating system. Haven't had any problems until now, but it just stopped working completely last week. Tried the basic stuff like checking fuses, but no luck there. Maybe I should get it looked at by the dealer since it seems like it could be a similar problem to what you had. Did your workshop need to order specific parts, or did they have them in stock?

Hey again! Thanks for the additional details about your Jazz. Yeah, your situation sounds really similar to what I experienced with my CR-V. When mine failed at around 250,000 KM, it was also just the driver's side and no warning lights, exactly like yours! About the parts, in my case, the workshop had to order the heating element, which took about 3-4 days to arrive. They didn't have it in stock because it's not exactly a common replacement part. If I remember correctly, they did a proper diagnosis first (cost me about 45 Euro) to confirm it was definitely the heating mat before ordering the part. Since your mileage is similar to what mine was when it failed, and the symptoms are identical, I'd bet money it's the same issue. One thing though, with yours being a 2021 model, you might want to check if it's still under warranty. I had to pay out of pocket for mine since my CR-V was already out of warranty. Tell you what, when you get it checked out, let us know what they find. It would be interesting to see if it's the same problem. These heating mats seem to be a weak point in these cars after a lot of use!

Thanks so much for all the info! It's really helpful to know that my issue matches what you experienced. I just called the dealer and since my Jazz is still under the original warranty (it's only 2.5 years old), they're going to take a look at it next week. They mentioned they've seen a few cases like this and already have the heating elements in stock, which is great news. The service advisor also said they'll do a full diagnostic check just to rule out any other potential issues, all covered under warranty. I'll definitely update the thread once it's fixed to help others who might run into the same problem. Really appreciate everyone's input, especially sharing the specific details about the heating mat replacement. It's helped me feel much more confident about what to expect when I take it in!
