Thanks for sharing your experience! My car has 24581 KM and had its last service about two months ago. The flickering actually started just a few days ago, and you might be onto something with the electrical connection theory. My battery is the original one from 2019, and now that you mention it, I've noticed my power windows seem a bit sluggish lately too. Sounds like your repair was pretty straightforward, that's reassuring! I'll definitely get it checked out soon. Was your repair done in one day? Just trying to plan ahead since I need the car for work. Really appreciate the detailed info about your experience, especially the cost breakdown. That helps set my expectations.
Hey again! Yeah, my Honda City repair was done in about 4-5 hours, dropped it off in the morning and picked it up after lunch. The sluggish power windows you mentioned definitely ring a bell, had the exact same thing before my headlight issues got worse! Since you've got similar symptoms to what I experienced, and your battery is from 2019, it might be worth getting that checked too. My mechanic actually tested the battery while fixing the headlight wiring and found it was performing below optimal levels, though in my case it wasn't the main culprit. Just a heads up from my experience, when they fixed my wiring harness, they also recommended replacing both headlight bulbs at the same time, even though only one was failing. I followed their advice and honestly, it was worth it for the peace of mind. The light output is now much more consistent than before. Quick tip: if you're planning to get it checked, try to book an appointment early in the day. That way, if they need to order any parts, there's a better chance they can get them the same day. That's what helped me get mine done so quickly! Let me know how it goes, curious to see if it turns out to be the same issue as mine!
Thanks so much for all that helpful information! You know what, I just called the workshop and managed to get an early morning appointment for tomorrow. Your tip about booking early in the day makes total sense, especially since I can't afford to have the car out of action for too long. It's really reassuring to hear your repair only took 4-5 hours, and I'll definitely take your advice about getting both headlight bulbs replaced if needed. Better safe than sorry! I'm also going to ask them to check the battery while they're at it, since mine's about 4 years old now and those sluggish power windows might be trying to tell me something. I'll let you know what they find, fingers crossed it's just a wiring harness issue like yours and nothing more serious! Really appreciate you taking the time to share all the details about your experience. It's helped me feel much more prepared for my workshop visit tomorrow.
Hey there! I had a similar problem with my 2021 Honda City (quite similar to your Jazz). I'd say I have low experience with car repairs, mostly just basic maintenance stuff. The flickering and dimming turned out to be an electrical issue in my case. Took it to my regular workshop and they found a faulty connection in the headlight wiring harness, plus one of the bulbs was on its way out. The whole repair, including parts and labor, cost me around 102€. Could you tell me if your battery is fairly new or if you've noticed any other electrical issues? Also, when did these symptoms first start? This info would help figure out if you're dealing with the same problem I had. If it's anything like what happened to my car, better get it checked soon, driving with wonky headlights isn't safe!
