Thanks for sharing your experience! It's really helpful to know it could be a wiring harness issue. I've actually got the same problem with my Crider right now, would you mind telling me how much the repair ended up costing you? Also curious if you've had any other electrical problems pop up since getting it fixed? I'm trying to figure out if I should prepare for more issues down the road.
Hey again! Great to hear back from you! Yes, I can definitely update you on everything. I actually just got my Accord back from the shop last week, and I'm happy to report the electric seat is working perfectly now. It turned out to be even simpler than the wiring harness I initially thought, just a loose cable connection that needed fixing. The total bill came to 95€ which honestly wasn't as bad as I was expecting! And to answer your other question, nope, haven't had any other electrical gremlins show up since the repair. Everything's been running smoothly. The seat moves up, down, forward, and back just like it should, no more fault codes either. It's such a relief not having to manually adjust the seat anymore! My mechanic mentioned these kinds of issues are pretty common with power seats and usually aren't a sign of bigger electrical problems to come. So hopefully that puts your mind at ease a bit! Let me know how your repair goes when you get it sorted. Cheers!
Thanks so much for all the info! I actually just got my Crider back from the shop yesterday. You won't believe it, but it was basically the same issue, a loose connection! The mechanic found it pretty quickly and charged me a fair price. The seats are working perfectly now, moving smoothly in all directions. I was really worried it would be something major, but it turned out to be such a simple fix. The mechanic showed me what they did, and I feel much better about the whole situation. No more fault codes showing up either. Really appreciate everyone's help and advice here. It helped me feel more confident about getting it checked out, especially after my last not-so-great mechanic experience. Now I can finally adjust my seat without having to wrestle with it manually! Thanks again for sharing your experience, it really helped!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2015 Honda Accord (gasoline). The power seats completely stopped responding, and I got fault codes too. Turned out it was a faulty wiring harness under the seat, where some cables had worn through from constant seat movement. The fix wasn't too complex, the mechanic had to replace the wiring harness and reconnect a few loose plugs. It took about 2 hours to complete. Not really a serious issue in terms of safety, but definitely annoying since I couldn't adjust my seat position. Just make sure you get it checked soon because continuously using it with faulty wiring could damage the seat motor. Get them to check the fuse first, though, sometimes it's just that simple. Good luck with the repair!
