Honda Brio AC Blower Failure: Control Panel Issues & Fixes
Blower does not work properly

Thanks for the detailed response! My blower completely died last week, no sound, no air at all. There weren't any weird noises before it stopped. Mine's a 2016 Brio with 8585 KM on the clock, and it was working fine until after my last service. The weird thing is it just stopped working suddenly while I was driving. No warning signs or anything. The control panel lights are still working though, and everything else in the car is functioning normally. I'm really hoping it's just a connection issue like yours and not something more serious. It's been super reliable otherwise! Would you recommend I try checking the fuse first before taking it to a mechanic? Just trying to avoid unnecessary repair costs if it's something simple I can fix myself.
Hey again! Yeah, it definitely sounds different from what I experienced with my Jazz. Since you mentioned it died completely and suddenly after a service, and there's absolutely no response from the blower, I'd say checking the fuse is a smart first move, that's actually something I should've mentioned earlier! In my Jazz, at least I had some intermittent blower function before the connection issue got worse. But your symptoms, total silence, no air movement at all, and the timing after a service, that's ringing different bells. I'd say grab your owner's manual, locate the fuse box (usually under the dashboard or in the engine bay), and check the blower fuse. It's a super quick and cheap fix if that turns out to be the culprit. Mine has a 30-amp fuse for the blower, your Brio probably uses something similar. If the fuse looks good, then yeah, you're probably looking at a mechanic visit. Could be that something got knocked loose during the service. Just hoping it's not the blower motor itself, that was a pricey repair when my cousin had to replace one in his Honda! Let me know what you find with the fuse check, I'm curious to know if it's something that simple!
Thanks so much for the follow-up! Just checked the fuse like you suggested, smart thinking! Unfortunately, the fuse looks perfectly fine, so that rules out the easy fix I was hoping for. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic after all. You've got a good point about something possibly getting knocked loose during the service. I'm going to mention this timing to the mechanic, might help them diagnose it faster. Really hoping it's just a loose connection and not a dead blower motor like your cousin's case! I'll probably get it checked out next week. Thanks again for all your help and sharing your experience, it's super helpful knowing what to look out for. I'll keep you posted on what they find. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious or expensive!
Hey there! I had a pretty similar issue with my 2014 Honda Jazz (love those reliable Hondas!). I've got some experience working on cars, nothing too fancy though. The symptoms you're describing sound exactly like what I dealt with. In my case, it turned out to be a loose cable connection behind the control panel. Took it to my regular mechanic who diagnosed it pretty quickly. The repair involved removing the panel, fixing the faulty connection, and testing everything, cost me about 210 Euro total. But before jumping to conclusions, Does the blower work at any speed at all? Are you hearing any unusual noises? Did it stop working suddenly or gradually? This could help figure out if you're dealing with the same issue I had or something else. Different Brio models might have slightly different setups, so knowing more details would help!
