ABS warning light

Hi all! My 2022 Honda Amaze diesel is showing multiple warning lights, ABS, DSC, and a speedometer warning. The ABS/DSC system isn't functioning properly. I suspect it's related to the wheel speed sensor, but want to confirm before taking it to the workshop. Has anyone faced similar issues? What was the diagnosis and repair solution in your case? Looking forward to hearing about your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars . Had a similar issue with my 2020 Honda City diesel last year. Those warning lights can be nerve-wracking, right? Mine showed exactly the same symptoms, ABS, DSC, and speedo warnings all lit up like a Christmas tree! Turned out it was indeed a faulty ABS sensor. Took it to my regular workshop, and they diagnosed it pretty quickly with their diagnostic tool. The whole thing, including parts and labor, set me back about 260 Euro. Quick fix, but definitely not something you want to ignore, these sensors are crucial for safety systems. Before I share more specifics, Which wheel is showing issues (if any diagnostic codes were read)? Have you noticed any unusual noises or vibrations? Does it happen more when driving on particular road surfaces? Looking forward to helping you sort this out!

Thanks for the detailed response! My Amaze has done 89291 KM and had its last service just two months ago. I haven't noticed any specific wheel issues, but there's a slight vibration when braking, especially at lower speeds. No unusual noises though. The warning lights came on suddenly during normal driving on a regular road, and they've stayed on since then. I was hoping to avoid a workshop visit, but from what you're saying, it looks like I'll need proper diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the exact sensor. Appreciate your insights about the ABS sensor, gives me a good starting point to discuss with the mechanic. Would you recommend getting this checked ASAP, or is it okay to drive for a few days like this?

Hey again! Thanks for those extra details about your Amaze. With my City experience, I'd strongly recommend getting it checked ASAP. While you can still drive the car, remember that both ABS and DSC safety systems aren't working properly right now. That vibration during braking you mentioned? Had exactly the same thing with mine, it's often a tell-tale sign of ABS sensor issues. After dealing with my own sensor problem, I wouldn't risk driving too long without these safety systems. Sure, your basic brakes still work, but you're missing crucial safety features, especially in emergency situations or wet conditions. Quick tip from my experience, make sure they clean the sensor housing while they're at it. When they fixed mine, there was quite a bit of metal debris built up around the sensor, which contributed to the problem. Also, 89K km is around when these sensors often start acting up, mine failed at about 85K km. Let me know what the workshop says. If it turns out to be the same issue as mine, the fix is pretty straightforward and shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Keep me posted!

Thanks so much for the helpful advice! You've convinced me, I'll get it checked out tomorrow morning rather than waiting. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to safety systems. The similarity between your experience and mine, particularly with the brake vibration and mileage, is quite reassuring actually. At least I know it's likely a common issue with a straightforward fix. I'll make sure to mention the sensor cleaning tip to my mechanic too, that's really useful info about the metal debris that I wouldn't have known about. And you're absolutely right about not wanting to risk driving without ABS and DSC, especially since I do quite a bit of driving. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience in such detail. I'll definitely update you once I get it sorted. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction!
