Hey, thanks for your quick reply. Your experience sounds quite similar to the one I'm having right now. The throttle body and mass air meter thing sounds really serious. Do you remember how much the repair cost you? And has anything else broken since then or has your car been running smoothly since then? Looking forward to your answer!

Hey, no problem! I'm glad if I can help. Well, the repair to the throttle body and the mass air meter wasn't cheap, but the car has been running like a charm ever since. However, my tank ventilation system was also faulty, just as you suspected. But the mechanic also had that on his radar and fixed it. But what was really expensive was the fuse/power supply, which was faulty. That cost me an extra €52. Since then, however, no further problems have occurred and I'm glad that everything is working again. Hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Hey, thanks again for your detailed answer. That really reassures me. I'd better take care of it as soon as possible, I definitely don't want to ignore it. Your info on the throttle body, the mass air meter and even the power supply is really helpful. Seems like I have a lot to do there. But the main thing is that the car runs as well as yours afterwards! Thanks again bro, you've really helped me out! Now it's off to the garage!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2013 VW Golf. Unfortunately, I also had this feeling of rough engine running and loss of power. In fact, it was a fallacy to think that it had to do with the tank ventilation system. In my case, the problem was the throttle body, which was not working properly. It was a serious issue as the throttle body is responsible for the air supply to the engine and makes the engine work. At the same time, there was a mass air meter in play, which measures the mass of air flowing into the engine and this was also faulty. Back home, the check engine light came on and the car was almost uncontrollable. Not to mention the vibrations, which were similar to yours. It was honestly no fun and lucky I made it to the garage in time. The mechanic then did a thorough check and identified these problems. Once they were fixed, the car was as good as new. So it's definitely something serious and you should take it to a garage as soon as possible. Hope this helps you! Good luck!
