One of the symptoms was also that my heating/cooling was working erratically. The garage had to completely replace the electric auxiliary heater. In addition, they also had to check and clean the coolant system to make sure everything was working properly. So yes, it could well be that your problem is the same. Your best bet is to go to the garage as soon as possible. Maybe you can describe your car's faults better so it'll be easier to diagnose. I had to fork out around €350 for the repair of the faulty electric auxiliary heater. Not exactly a bargain, but so be it. And to answer your second question: everything has been running like clockwork ever since. I've had no further problems with the heating/cooling or anything else. Hope that helps you.
