Hello, thank you for your advice! It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone with my problem. One more thing, do you happen to remember how much you paid for the repair? Has anything else come up since then, or was it fixed then with the new water valve? Thanks again and stay well!

Hello, sure, no problem! In my case, the repair cost €155 because the problem was with the cable connection or plug from the water valve. After that was fixed, there were no further problems. Since the mechanics repaired the water valve of the cooling circuit, everything has been working as it should on my Toyota. Hopefully this will be the case for you too. So don't worry, everything will be fine. So far, everything is back to normal. Stay healthy and good luck with the repair! Best regards!

Hello, that's good news! Thank you for the quick and helpful reply. I feel much more relaxed now that I have a clear idea of what to do. The price sounds fair too. Hopefully I'll be so lucky that everything works as usual after the repair. I really appreciate your help! I hope you stay healthy and ride safely too! See you next time and best regards!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Toyota Auris. The heater and defroster no longer worked at all. In my case it was actually the water valve. The plug of the water valve had a contact fault and had to be replaced. Based on my experience, I would recommend that you check the cable connection or plug of the water valve. Just tell the guys at the workshop to take a closer look at this area if you don't want to do the work yourself. The repair was basically not very complex, but it did take some time. It was a serious problem because there was no longer any real heating power and in winter that's obviously not very pleasant. I hope my experience helps you! Good luck, man!
