Hi, thanks for your quick reply. My Ibiza is model year 2016 and the mileage is 69400 km, the last inspection was just recently. I can't tell you the horsepower at the moment, but I don't think that should be so important for troubleshooting, should it? Then I'll probably have to replace the sensor too. Thanks for your advice!

Hallogeno, exactly, the horsepower figure is not necessarily relevant for this problem. In the case of my Leon at least, it was the defect in the misting sensor that caused the heater and mirror de-icer to operate incorrectly. After the sensor was replaced, everything worked perfectly again. Replacing the sensor at my garage was quite straightforward and not particularly expensive. So, I would recommend that you consider it. Just tell the garage that you suspect the condensation sensor might be faulty and they should know what to do. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your Ibiza runs better again afterwards!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Seat Leon. Don't worry, I'm no expert, but I've solved a few car problems myself. In my case, the sensor itself was defective and had to be replaced. The repair cost me 215 euros and was carried out at my regular garage. Unfortunately, I can't give you any more details without the exact vehicle data. Can you please give me your exact model designation and the engine power? Then I might be able to help you better.
