Hey, no problem, always happy to help! I had to pay €155 to repair the cable or the sensor connector, but fortunately it cured the problem straight away. Since then, my car has been running like a baby again, so the trip to the mechanic was definitely worth it. No further problems so far and the malfunction on the outside temperature sensor is also back in the paint. Hope that helps you, buddy! Greetings back and good luck with your BMW!

Great, thanks for the quick reply! I'm reassured to know it's not something bigger. I won't waste a moment and will take my car to the garage straight away. Hopefully it won't be more expensive for me either. I'm glad your car is running smoothly again and I hope mine does too. Your experience has really helped me. Thanks again for that! Best regards and have a good trip! Hi there!

Hey, I recently had a similar problem with my 2013 BMW 5 Series. The warning light came on while I was driving and the heater just stopped working. So I went to the garage and the mechanic was able to determine that it was actually the outside temperature sensor. As the sensor is connected to the engine cooling and the interior heating, this had the consequences you describe. I had to have the whole sensor unit replaced. So it was a more serious problem, but after the replacement everything worked great again. Hope that helps you, buddy! Greetings back!
