Heated Windows Not Working on 2010 Lexus GS: Seeking Advice on Potential Fault

Hey! I've got a bit of a weird issue with my 2010 Lexus GS, gas engine, sitting at about 51K km on the ticker. It seems the heated windows aren't working anymore, and there's a mysterious 'Fault' sign stored. I'm thinking it could be something to do with the exterior mirror heating failing, but I'm just guessing. The last time I took it to the mechanic was a nightmare, so I'd really appreciate hearing from someone who had a similar issue - specifically how they went about fixing it and what their experience with the mechanics was like. Thanks in advance! Keep your tires on the road!

Hey! I totally get where you're coming from. Had a similar issue with my 2007 Lexus LX some time ago. Yep, it was as vexing for me as it seems to be for you. In my case, the culprit was a defective cable connection to the mirror. It almost drove me up the wall, and the 'Fault' sign didn't help either. But after knocking on quite a few garage doors, I found out it was a pretty common problem. So, don't stress, alright? The bloke at the garage did a pretty thorough once-over and discovered that the plug connection on the mirror glass was oxidized as well. It wasn't a quick fix, but was I relieved when everything finally fell into place. So don't worry it doesn't sound as bad as all that. Most mechanics will have dealt with issues like these. Do find a good garage and maintain your patience. And remember, keep your tires on the road! Cheers.

Hey! Your response legit turns my frown upside down, thanks! It seems like the slipper might fit on this one, cable connection could be it. Actually, my exterior mirror has been on the wonky side for a while. Wouldn't mind asking you to jog your memory a bit, if you don't mind - how much did it burn a hole in your pocket to sort out this gremlin? And fingers crossed, everything's been good as gold since, right? Or any other monsters popped up after this one was slain? Keepin' those wheels grounded, cheers!

Heyya, champ! I can see you are keen as mustard to sort this out. Good on ya! It cost me around 155 Euro to banish that cable connection goblin. Yeah, it wasn't exactly cheap as chips, but given the chilly weather we've been having, I'd say it was worth every penny. You'll be chuffed to know that after the mechanic worked his magic, my mirror heaters have been running like a dream! No other nasty surprises popped up. So, fingers crossed, you'd be in the same boat! Remember, stick to those garages that know their onions. Keep the rubber side down! Cheers.

G'day! You had me at "running like a dream", that's what I needed to hear! I reckon 155 Euro sounds like a bargain to me if it gets the job done. I'm going to do my homework, find a mechanic who "knows their onions" as you say. Hoping to kick this bug to the kerb soon. Appreciate your help and experience! As always, keepin' the rubber side down, and cheers!
