Hey, glad I could help! Sure, I remember the repair of the control unit very well. That was no mean feat, it cost me €880. But since then everything has been fine again, including the headlights. No flickering or anything else since I've been to the mechanic. Especially the indicators, which used to give me trouble, but now they're working perfectly again. You'll probably have to bite the bullet and pay for the repair, but it was definitely worth it for me. Hope that helps you.

Wow, that's quite an amount, but if it helps solve the problem then I guess it's worth it. I find it reassuring to hear that you haven't had any further problems since. Yes, my indicators sometimes go crazy too, so maybe it really is something to do with the control unit. I will definitely make an appointment with the mechanic. Many thanks for your help and tips, that really helped me. Let's hope for the best!

Hey buddy, I drive a 2009 Opel Astra, had a similar problem with the headlights a few months ago. The therapy was a bit more complex than expected. After some diagnostics, it turned out that the control unit was defective. The control unit is responsible for the proper functioning of the car's electronics and the flickering of the headlights was actually a sign of this. I remember they replaced the ECU, which is a bit more serious repair as the ECU is like a brain for the car that controls all the electronic processes. However, it is workable and saved my car. Hope this helps you out. I wish you the best of luck with the repair!
