Hey, sure, I still remember. It cost me €630 to repair the headlight control unit. Sure, not a bargain, but since then everything has been running great, defective headlights are history. Above all, my headlamp leveling works perfectly again after the mechanic looked over it. Since then I have had no further problems at all. So cheer up and hopefully your car will soon be better again!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! 630 is a lot of money, but your experience after the repair sounds really encouraging. I'm a little reassured that your headlight leveling system is now working smoothly again. I guess it's worth the money if it makes me safer on the road at night. I think I'll make an appointment with the mechanic and try my luck. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Thank you all for the help and advice!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Renault Clio (2015, diesel). The symptoms were pretty much the same as yours. The problem was actually the headlight control unit. And yes, it was quite serious. Not only is there a risk of failure, but it's also very dangerous if you're driving at night and your headlights suddenly fail. In the workshop, the headlights had to be recalibrated and the control unit replaced. Of course, the specific type of repair depends on your exact problem, but this was the solution for my car. I hope this helps you a bit. Let us know how it turns out!
