Grandis Owner's Nightmare: Flickering Headlights Mystery
Dim or flickering lights
Low beam and high beam seems too high or too low

Thanks for sharing your experience! My Grandis has a gasoline engine and I've noticed the flickering does get worse when using multiple electrical components. My last service was about 3 months ago at 62933 KM, and everything was fine then. I'm worried it might be something serious with the electrical system. Will definitely get it checked by a pro. Not keen on DIY fixes for electrical issues, tbh. Thanks for the heads up about the wiring harness, will mention this to my mechanic when I take it in.
Oh hey again! Yeah, based on what you're describing about the flickering getting worse with other electrical components, it's sounding more and more like what I dealt with on my Outlander. Since your last reply, I actually had a somewhat similar issue pop up again (though not as bad), and it turned out to be a combination of a weak battery and a slightly loose ground wire. The symptoms started just like yours, first the misaligned beams, then the flickering, especially when using other electronics. I got it sorted for about 75€ this time. Listen, if your Grandis is showing these symptoms at 62933 KM, it's definitely worth checking the battery health and all ground connections first. My mechanic taught me that these Mitsubishis can be a bit sensitive to electrical gremlins, especially as they age. The fact that it was fine 3 months ago and suddenly acting up suggests it might be a degrading connection somewhere. Smart move not going DIY on this, I learned that lesson the hard way with my first attempt! Let me know what your mechanic finds. If it's anything like my experiences, it shouldn't be too major of a fix. Keep us posted!
Thanks so much for the detailed follow-up! It's really helpful to hear about your similar experiences, especially the part about the weak battery and loose ground wire. You're right, I'm definitely going to get it checked out this week. Made an appointment with my mechanic for Thursday morning. The battery is actually about 4 years old now that I think about it, so maybe that's contributing to the problem too. I'll make sure to mention everything we discussed, the wiring harness, ground connections, and battery check. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and experiences with the Outlander. It's given me a much better idea of what to expect. Will update the thread once I know what's causing the issue. Thanks again!
Hey there! I had some similar lighting problems with my 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander (I have some experience working on cars as a hobby). The symptoms were almost identical, flickering headlights and alignment issues. Took it to my local workshop and it turned out to be a faulty wiring harness connector that was causing the voltage fluctuations. The fix cost me around 102.50€, including parts and labor. The mechanic had to replace some corroded wiring and a bad ground connection. Which engine variant does your Grandis have? Also, have you noticed if the problem gets worse when you use other electrical components? This info would help determine if we're dealing with the same issue. If it's similar to what I experienced, I'd recommend having a professional check the entire lighting circuit, not just the bulbs themselves.
