Hi guys, I'm a bit worried about my car, a 2019 Ford Fiesta with a gasoline engine and 79320 km on the odometer. It has major problems with the gearbox, it slips/shifts uncontrollably and the warning light in the cockpit is on. My suspicion is that there is a faulty switch in the parking position automatic gearbox. Has anyone had a similar case and can share their experiences with me? I had strange noises and awkward gear changes and remember the flashing warning light very well, just like you. Once at the garage, the mechanic did a thorough diagnosis and found that the transmission control unit needed replacing. It was definitely no small matter, but they solved the problem.
