Thanks for sharing that! My G's at 74715 KM and just had its service last month. I'm seeing exactly those symptoms you mentioned the electrical stuff acting up and that annoying AC message. Haven't noticed any other weird electrical issues yet, but it's good to know about that cold shut-off valve. Might need to get that checked out. Did your M35 show any warning signs before things got worse?
Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, my M35 definitely showed some early warning signs before things got really wonky. At around 70K km (pretty close to where you're at), I started noticing the warning light would flicker on and off unusually, especially when I'd first start the car in the morning. The AC message was actually the first thing that popped up for me too, and I initially thought it was just a simple AC problem. But then the electrical gremlins started showing up more frequently. The weird thing was, my AC was still working perfectly fine despite the error message! In my case, the symptoms gradually got worse over about 2-3 weeks before I took it to my mechanic. Looking back, I probably should've taken it in sooner, but you know how it goes you always think it'll sort itself out! Since you mentioned you just had service last month, maybe give your service center a call and ask if they noticed anything unusual during the check-up. Could save you some headache down the road. Trust me, these Infinitis are great cars, but when they start showing electrical quirks, it's better to catch it early! Let me know how it goes with your G I'm curious if it turns out to be the same issue as mine!
Thanks so much for all that detailed info! That's super helpful, especially knowing about the warning signs. You're right mine's doing that exact same thing with the morning flickering. I've already called my service center and they're getting me in tomorrow morning. Better safe than sorry, right? Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. It's definitely put my mind at ease knowing it might just be that cold shut-off valve. I'll update you once I hear back from the mechanic. Thanks again for all your help!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2004 Infiniti M35 (got some experience working on cars). The symptoms you're describing sound exactly like what I dealt with. The cold shut-off valve was acting up, causing those electrical gremlins and AC error messages. Got super lucky because my regular mechanic found it during a routine check and fixed it under an extended warranty campaign didn't cost me a dime! Could you share your G's exact model and mileage? That would help me tell if you might be dealing with the same problem. Also, are you noticing any other weird electrical behavior?
