Power windows malfunction

Hey, thanks for sharing that! It's good to hear I'm not alone with these window troubles. That's really interesting that it turned out to be the master switch instead of the regulator definitely something I'll keep in mind. Do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the fix? Also, just curious if you've had any other window issues pop up since then? Thanks!
Hey again! Glad to give you an update! Since I took my M45 to the mechanic last summer, the window problem has been completely sorted out. The window regulator issue I mentioned earlier was actually the master switch being faulty, and once they replaced it, everything's been working perfectly no more windows getting stuck or acting up! I paid exactly 130€ for the whole thing, including parts and labor. Not too bad considering how annoying the problem was! And nope, haven't had a single window-related issue since then *knocks on wood* It was definitely worth getting it fixed by that Infiniti specialist. Sometimes paying a bit more for someone who really knows these cars inside out saves you money in the long run, you know what I mean? Let me know if you end up getting yours checked out would be interesting to hear if it's the same issue!
Thanks so much for all the details! I actually went ahead and took your advice about finding an Infiniti specialist. Turns out there's a really good one just outside my usual area. Took the car in yesterday, and you won't believe it it WAS the master switch after all! Just like your case. Got it fixed for about 150€, which wasn't too bad considering how much I was worried it might cost. The mechanic was super professional and even showed me what was wrong with the old switch. He said these things are pretty common in older Infinitis. The best part? All my windows are working perfectly now! No more wrestling with that driver's side window that kept getting stuck. Really glad I asked here you saved me from probably spending way more at my old mechanic who probably would've replaced the whole regulator unnecessarily. Thanks again for the help definitely keeping this specialist's number for future reference!
Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2003 Infiniti M45 last summer. At first, I thought it was just the window regulator too, but when I took it to the garage, they found out it was actually the master power window switch that was defective. The symptoms were pretty much the same windows would work intermittently and sometimes get stuck halfway. Got it fixed at a local Infiniti specialist who really knows their stuff. The switch replacement wasn't a major repair took them about an hour to diagnose and fix. They also checked the window motor and regulator while they were at it, but those were fine. Honestly, it was a relief since I was worried it might be something more serious. My advice would be to find a shop that specializes in Infiniti/Nissan they'll know exactly what to look for and won't waste time with trial and error repairs. The master switch is a pretty common issue on these models, so they should be familiar with it. Hope this helps!
