Frozen Delica Nozzles: Fix & Shop Guide Needed
Spray nozzles frozen

Hey again! Just wanted to follow up, after getting it fixed at the mechanic, my spray nozzles have been working perfectly! They found the same cable connection issue as I suspected, and it was a fairly straightforward fix. I paid 155€ for the repair, which included sorting out the faulty wiring. Honestly, it was worth every penny, no more frozen nozzles in the morning, which is such a relief! Since you mentioned your Delica is newer, you probably won't have any recurring issues like I did with my Outlander. These newer models have better wiring setups anyway. The heating system's been working great since the repair, no problems at all through the cold snaps we've had. Just make sure you go to someone who knows Mitsubishis well, it makes a huge difference! Have you found a shop yet? I can totally understand being hesitant after a bad experience, but getting this fixed properly will save you headaches down the road!
Oh that's such a relief to hear! €155 isn't bad at all, I was worried it'd be way more expensive. You know how it is with car repairs, sometimes they just hit you with those crazy bills! Really appreciate you sharing the details about your experience. I actually took your advice and found a certified Mitsubishi specialist nearby. Just got back from there today, and guess what? They found exactly what you described, that cable connection issue. They sorted it out pretty quick, and I even got a slightly better deal at €140! The mechanic was super helpful, explained everything clearly (unlike my last experience), and even showed me what was wrong. The nozzles are working perfectly now, tested them on my way home, and it's like having a brand new system. Such a weight off my mind, especially with winter coming up. Thanks again for helping me out with this! Sometimes you just need someone who's been through the same thing to point you in the right direction, you know?
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Diesel last winter. The washer nozzles kept freezing up, and it turned out to be more than just the heater. When I took it to the garage, they found that the cable connection to the heating element was defective, plus there was some corrosion building up in the system. They had to replace the entire washer heating unit and rewire the connections. It wasn't a huge job, but definitely not something you'd want to leave unfixed, especially during winter. The mechanic mentioned that these issues are fairly common in Mitsubishis from that period. I'd recommend finding a shop that specializes in Asian vehicles. The place I went to was a certified Mitsubishi service center, and they knew exactly what to look for. The repair took about 2-3 hours to complete.
