Front Seat Heaters Dead: Infiniti JX Hybrid Fix Needed

Hey there, having trouble with my 2012 Infiniti JX Hybrid (113k km). The seat heating completely stopped working on both front seats. Has anyone experienced this issue? Looking for advice on potential fixes and estimated repair costs. Had a bad experience with my local mechanic last time, so I'd appreciate recommendations for reliable shops too. Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue with my 2009 Infiniti M35h Hybrid last winter. The heating mat in both front seats stopped working suddenly. Took it to the dealer as my regular mechanic couldn't diagnose it properly. Turned out both heating elements were defective and needed replacement. In my case, the wiring was intact, but the heating mats had burned out internally pretty common issue in these models after 100k km. The repair wasn't particularly complicated but required removing the seat covers to access the heating elements. Job took about 4 hours to complete both seats. It's not a safety concern, but definitely worth fixing before winter. The dealer ordered OEM parts and completed everything in one day. If you're in the warranty period, might be covered. Try Hansen Infiniti on Main St they handled my repair well and have experience with hybrid models.

Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful to know about the heating mats. I'm going to check out Hansen Infiniti they sound way better than my current mechanic. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole repair? Also, have you had any other heating issues since they fixed it?

Hey again! Happy to update you. I actually just got the repair done at Hansen Infiniti they completely sorted out my seat heating problem. The total came to 390€, which covered replacing both heating mats and labor. Honestly, it was worth every penny because the seats are working perfectly now no more freezing on cold mornings! It's been several months since the repair, and I haven't had a single issue with the heating. The service at Hansen was top-notch they diagnosed it quickly and got the parts ordered right away. Much better than my experiences with other shops. I know the price might seem a bit steep, but considering they used genuine OEM parts and did both seats, it's actually pretty reasonable. Plus, they give you a proper warranty on the work, which is always good for peace of mind. Definitely stick with Hansen if you decide to get it fixed. They really know their stuff when it comes to Infinitis, especially the hybrid models. Let me know if you need any other info!

Thanks so much! I went ahead and got it fixed at Hansen Infiniti, just like you suggested. You were right about everything they were super professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Funny enough, my repair ended up costing almost the same as yours, around 400€. The whole experience was way better than my previous mechanic. Dropped off my car in the morning, and they called me by afternoon saying it was ready. Both seats are working perfectly now, which is such a relief with winter coming up. Really appreciate your help on this one saved me from going back to that sketchy mechanic who probably would've charged more and done a worse job. Hansen's definitely going to be my go-to place from now on. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction! You really helped me dodge a bullet there.
