If this defect is detected, it may lead to the following problems:
The engine fan, often controlled by a speed sensor, plays an essential role in a car's cooling system. Its job is to draw air through the radiator to lower the temperature of the engine coolant, effectively regulating engine heat. The speed sensor, an integral part of this system, monitors the speed of the fan and provides this information to the engine control unit.
When engine temperatures are high, the ECU increases the fan speed to draw more air through the radiator and prevent overheating. Conversely, at low engine temperatures, the speed is reduced to save energy and minimize noise emissions.
