Functionality high voltage system
The high-voltage (HV) system is a key component of electric and hybrid vehicles. It includes components that operate at voltages above 60V DC or 30V AC, such as the high-voltage battery, electric motor and charger. These systems provide power to the electric motor and enable charging of the battery.
Due to the high voltages, safety protocols and measures must be strictly followed, such as disconnecting the HV system in case of accidents or maintenance. A special color scheme (usually orange) is used to identify high-voltage cables and components for warning.
