Hey, of course I remember - it was no small matter. I spent a whole €1550 on fixing the problem with the internally defective diesel particulate filter. That's no mean feat, but what can you do if you don't want to drive around covered in a cloud of black smoke? And you know what? It was definitely the right decision. Since I've been to the mechanic, the problem with the heavy loading of the diesel particulate filter has been fixed and my car is running like a kitten again. There have been no further problems since then and I feel that my Ford is performing as it should. So take care of your car and get it checked as soon as possible. The costs are steep, but it's worth it!

Hey, that sounds like an expensive business! But thanks for sharing your experience. It really helps to hear from someone who has been through this situation before. I think I'll just make an appointment with a mechanic and get it checked out. Hopefully that will help and I can get back to driving around without that black cloud of smoke. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Ford Ranger Diesel some time ago. The jerking, the black smoke and the smell seemed very familiar to me. In fact, the DPF was internally defective, as you suspect. The workshop had to replace it because it was heavily loaded and blocked. This is a serious matter, because the DPF plays an important role in reducing emissions. But don't worry, after the repair was carried out, my car ran perfectly again. The important thing is that you don't ignore it and drive to the garage as soon as possible. Hope this helps you!
