Car won't start

Hi guys, I have a weird problem with my 2010 Ford Fusion gasoline engine. It takes longer to start when cold, has trouble starting, makes weird engine noises, battery is low when starting, and lights are dim or flickering. There is even a warning light in the speedometer. I suspect it's due to not being able to start the engine, but not sure. Have any of you had similar experiences and solved it successfully? I'm interested to know how the garage fixed the problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2008 Ford Focus. I'm not a mechanic, but I do have a bit of experience with cars. My car went to the garage and it turned out that the fault was the result of a consequential fault in the vehicle's electrics. Luckily I didn't have to pay anything for it, 0 euros, because it was under a manufacturer's warranty. It could be the same problem with your Fusion. Could you perhaps provide more information about your vehicle? That would certainly help to better understand the problem and help you better.

Hey, thanks for your reply! My Fusion has now done 126908 km and the last service was about 6 months ago. I also think it could be the electronics, but I have to have it checked first. I'll see if we still have a warranty on it. Of course, it would be great if it could be done as a gesture of goodwill. Thanks again for your tip!

No problem, I'd love to! It's always a mess when the car doesn't run as it should. From your description, especially with the milky battery and flickering lights, it really sounds like an electrical problem. It could be the alternator. It would be really good if the warranty is still valid. Otherwise, this can quickly add up. But get it checked first, maybe it's just a minor issue. Good luck with the repair and hopefully your Fusion will be back in shape soon!

Hey, I really appreciate your help. First of all, I will check the warranty and regardless of that, I will also contact the garage and have the car inspected. I really hope it's not a big problem and can be fixed quickly. And yes, I also hope that my Fusion will be back in shape soon. Thank you very much!
