Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! Well, the whole repair did cost quite a bit. I paid €1325 to have the DPF cleaned and the exhaust back pressure sensor replaced. It was a bit expensive, but since then the car has been running like a charm again and the exhaust back pressure sensor error message has not reappeared. So, it seems that the problem has been solved. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and invest to avoid problems in the long term. So far, there have been no other problems that could be related to this. I think that's a good sign. Good luck with your Ford Freestar! Greetings back!

Hey, thanks for the detailed reply. Yes, the sum is quite hefty, but if it brings the car back into shape, it's worth it. After all, I want to keep my Ford for longer. It's reassuring that you haven't had any further problems since. I'll definitely take your advice on board and see what I can do. Thanks again for your help! Best regards!

I recently had a similar problem with my 2010 Ford Galaxy, so I know exactly what you mean. The DPF was heavily overloaded in my car and the engine also pulled less well. At first I tried to force a passive regeneration by driving long distances on the highway, but that didn't work. Then I went to the garage and they tried active static regeneration. However, this only partially solved the problem. In the end, the DPF had to be cleaned and the exhaust back pressure sensor replaced. After the repair, my car ran like clockwork again. It was quite a hassle, but not a real emergency. Good luck, hopefully it's not that complicated for you.
