Sure, no problem. So, since the visit to the mechanic, the fault with the fuel pressure regulator has been rectified, so it's running perfectly again. After changing the fuel filter, I had a small error entry, but that only cost €45 to fix. Fortunately, I haven't had any further problems since then. I hope you have the same luck!

Hey, I drive a 2015 Ford Mustang and once had a similar problem after changing the fuel filter. Black smoke, check engine light, rough running, high gas mileage...you name it. It was totally crazy. But in my case it wasn't a fuel pressure regulator problem, instead it was a fuel injection problem. My mechanic had to come in and clean and readjust the injectors. It was necessary to do this because otherwise the engine would have got worse. It was annoying, but well...that's the way it is sometimes. Maybe you should have your fuel injection system checked.
