Hey, your experience sounds pretty similar to what's happening to me right now. Did you have any idea what the cost was back then or do you remember the exact amount you paid? And have you had any unexpected problems since the repair or is everything easy? Thanks for your help! Regards.

Hey, yes, I can remember that. The repair for the defective crankcase ventilation cost me €360. Sure, that was a blow at first, but since then the problem has been fixed and my car is running smoothly again. In hindsight, it was a wise investment to avoid major problems. Since the visit to the mechanic, everything has been running smoothly and no further unexpected problems have arisen. Hope this helps you! Regards.

Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. So it seems like it might be best for me to get this checked out right away. Your reply has really helped me to be better prepared when I speak to the mechanic. 360 is quite a lot of money, but I think it's worth it. Thanks again and best regards.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2007 Ford Focus. My crankcase ventilation was actually defective, just as you suspected. The symptoms were very similar - engine jerks when accelerating, irregular idling, high fuel consumption and check engine light on. In my case, the entire crankcase ventilation system had to be replaced. It was a serious problem that also had the potential to damage other parts of the engine if not fixed in time. But after the repair, my car ran like new again. So yes, it could definitely be the crankcase breather. But of course your mechanic should take a close look and confirm it. Hopefully you can solve the problem quickly, good luck with that! Regards.
