Fluctuating Headlight Intensity in 2022 Renault Arkana Hybrid: Seeking Solutions and Garage Experiences

Low beam and high beam seems too high or too low

|

Dim or flickering lights

Hey folks, I'm running into an issue with my 2022 Renault Arkana, Hybrid engine, clocking around 144K kms. Recently had a bout of flickering lights and uneven low/high beams that seem too high or low. I'm wondering if there's an indicator defect? Had a rough experience at the mechanic's last time and I thought I'd check here first. Anyone faced similar issues? How did your garage visit go? Cheers for any insights!

Hey there! Interesting, I had a similar issue on my 2018 Renault Megane, Diesel engine, with about 140k on the dashboard. Faced something similar with my headlights as well - they started flickering and acting up a bit. Turns out, it wasn't an indicator defect at all, but there was an issue with the headlamp control module. Took it to the garage, and they ended up having to replace the module. No biggie, stuff like this happens, right? But they also had to reconfigure the lighting system. It was some tedious work, but fortunately it wasn't a serious issue. I was happy to get it sorted and my lil' Megane's been acting right since then. The beams are back to normal, no flickering. Hope this helps, and good luck with your Arkana!

Hey guys! Reading your experiences jogged my memory - I had a similar issue with my Arkana last year. The mechanic also traced it down to a faulty headlamp control module. Since we're on the subject, can you recall how much you had to fork out for that repair job and if there's been anything else wrong since? Hoping it didn't burn a hole in your pocket and that's the last of your car troubles!

Hey! Yeah, for sure, I remember that repair bill. Ended up costing me a neat 102.50 €, but that's a price I was willing to pay to get my Megane's lights back in shape. And since you asked - knock on wood - there haven't been any other issues since then. Especially that indicator defect, it's sorted out since the mechanic gave my car a once-over. Good luck with your Arkana, hope it stops giving you any fuss too!

Hey, massive thanks to all for the leads! Pretty reassuring to hear it could be a headlamp control module issue, and not as dreadful as an indicator defect. Honestly, I was dreading another damning diagnostic from the mechanic. Brace yourselves, Arkana, we're going for a ride to the garage! As for the cost, around 100 € seems a fair deal given the peace of mind it'll bring. The sooner we fix it, the sooner we can return to peaceful night drives - without flickering lights! Thanks again, folks. Happy motoring!
