Hey, no problem, always happy to help! The repair costs for the defective battery sensor microprocessor amounted to €315 at the time. Not exactly a bargain, but fortunately the problem with the lights and battery performance has since been resolved. Since replacing the microprocessor, nothing else has come up that you need to keep an eye on. Just fit the thing and you can get back on the gas again! Nevertheless, I would recommend checking the on-board electronics regularly to avoid any nasty surprises. Stay safe and don't hang your head!

Hey, great! That's really good news! 315€ is not a lot, but as long as it solves my problem, it's worth the investment. I'll go straight to the garage on Monday and have the battery sensor replaced. And yes, you're right, a regular check of the on-board electronics certainly can't hurt. Thanks again for your help and advice, that really helped me. Are you still driving the Citroën or have you changed in the meantime? Feel free to write to me again. Best regards!

Hey, I have a Citroën C4 Grand Picasso from 2013 and have had exactly the same problem. It actually sounds like a fault in the battery sensor microprocessor. This is of course super annoying and if it's not fixed promptly, it can lead to further problems. Last time at the workshop, they checked through all the nonsense with the on-board electronics. In the end, it was clear that the microprocessor in the battery sensor was defective. The microprocessor controls the engine power, hence the flickering light and the weak battery power when the ignition is switched on. So it was off to the workshop to have the sensor checked or replaced. This is probably not a rare defect in these models. Hope this helps you!
