Flashing engine control light and loss of power in the Seat Arona 2019: Possible intake manifold pressure sensor problems?

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Seat Arona, year of manufacture 2019, petrol engine, almost 25,162 kilometers run. The check engine light is flashing, the performance is poor, the engine runs unevenly and it jerks when accelerating. Could this be a problem with the intake manifold pressure sensor? My fuel consumption has also gone through the roof. Has anyone had similar experiences and can tell me how it went at the mechanic? Would hate to have another bad experience. Thanks for your help!

Hey, I recently had a similar problem with my 2016 Seat Ibiza. Just like you, my check engine light was flashing and the engine was running rough. It turned out to be a serious problem with the turbocharger, which wasn't working properly. This resulted in high fuel consumption and poor performance - just as you described. After taking my car to the garage, they had to completely remove and clean the turbocharger. The subsequent troubleshooting revealed that the intake manifold pressure sensor was fine. It wasn't a quick process, but now my car is running smoothly again. I hope this helps you and your problem is not that serious. Good luck!

The mechanic fixed the problem with the malfunctioning intake manifold pressure sensor. Since then, the performance has been first class and there have been no further problems. About the bill: The repair of the intake manifold pressure sensor cost me 165 euros. Not exactly a bargain, but my goodness, the difference afterwards was definitely worth the price.
