Fiat Toro '15 Diesel Cruise Control Issue: Seeking Mechanic Recommendations and Effective Solutions

Fault stored

Cruise control without function

"Hey, runnin' into a pesky issue with my '15 Diesel Fiat Toro, clocked 78,415 kms now. Lately, the cruiser's been acting up and totally non-responsive and there's a lingering fault - think it's related to cruise control. Anybody else had such a similar roadblock and found a solid fix? Also, kinda nervous about meeting a mechanic after the last shoddy job. Any good experiences or recommendations would be super helpful! Cheers."

Hey there, had a similar hassle with my '17 Fiat Fullback. My ride was acting all weird, like it had its own mind or something. Traced it down to a rotten cable connection issue - sounds pretty similar to your trouble. Got it sorted out at my local garage last time, they had to do a fair bit of diggin' around the cable system, from the throttle body, past the fuse box, rechecked all the wires leading to the cruise control. Must say, it wasn't a quick or simple job, but it wasn’t all doom and gloom either. My advice? Get a decent garage to have a good look at it, but make sure the guys know their stuff. Don't panic it's not like your engine's gonna blow. All the best!

Hey! I really appreciate the info helps like a charm! Seems like the cable connection might be my stopping point too. If you don’t mind sharing, do you remember how much it set you back to sort out the issue? I want to brace myself before taking it to the garage, you know. And has anything else come up since you got it fixed? No unexpected surprises I hope? Cheers!

Hey! Glad I could help out a bit. Yeah, I remember the financial damage - it was 95€ to square off the cable connection defect. Not the smallest amount, but worth it considering the frustration saved, you know? Here's the good news. Since the fix at the mechanic's, everything's been smooth sailing, specifically with the cruise control. It's been working like a charm and no, there haven't been any unexpected surprises cropping up. So don't stress too much, buddy, just take your ride to a trustworthy garage and you'll have it sorted. Cheers!

Hey again! Thank you so much for sharing - you've made my day with that news! 95€ doesn't seem too bad for the peace of mind, really. Your story is quite a relief and calming my nerves about getting the cruiser checked. Will definitely take your advice & hunt down a reliable mechanic. Thanks again for all the help. Much appreciated! Cheers!
