Seat heating without function

Hey, thanks for the swift reply! I'm quite relieved to hear that your issue was the same and it wasn't too complicated to sort it out. That dodgy heater really gets on my nerves, especially now when it's getting colder again. You seem to have nailed the issue, appreciated! I'm a bit curious, how much did you end up dropping to get it fixed? Hope it didn't cost an arm and a leg! And since the repair, did any other issue pop up related to the seat heater or has everything been running smoothly? Cheers!
Hey. Glad to share my experience! Yeah, we all dread those chilly mornings without a functioning seat heater. As for the cost, it was €390 to get the heating mat replaced. Not ideal, but worth every penny to have a toasty warm car seat again, believe me! Since fixing up the heating mat, there hasn't been a single problem! It's all been running super smooth, no glitches or anything. Even the colder months have been a breeze, literally! So yeah, don't let it get on your nerves any longer. Just find a reliable mechanic and get it sorted. Cold days in a cozy car seat are not far away! Cheers, bud!
Hey, many thanks for the info! That pricing does seem a bit steep, but I guess warmth comes with a price tag, eh? And honestly, it's a small price to pay for the sheer comfort it provides. It's great to hear that you've not had any further glitches, very encouraging indeed. I'll find myself a reliable mechanic, hopefully as good as yours, and get the issue sorted pronto. Those cold days driving in comfort can't come soon enough! Thank so much for your help. Really appreciate it! Cheers!
Hey I've been through this, '04 Fiat Punto. Sounds similar to what happened to me a while back. Seat heater would just give up, no warning, no heat, nada. Thought it was a fuse or wiring issue at first, but turned out to be the heating mat itself having a defect. My mechanic did a thorough check and pinpointed the culprit. They replaced the defective heating mat with a brand new one. It was a pretty comprehensive job, not gonna lie. But once it was sorted, no more troublesome cold rides in winter. Would suggest getting someone reliable on it. Not much to worry about, it's not a head-scratching issue but it does require a professional's skill to fix it properly. So, best to get it to a good garage. Cheers!
