Hey there, thanks for getting back so quickly! Bit of a relief to hear your Panda had the same symptoms and it wasn't anything scarier than the Hall sensor. Just out of curiosity, do you remember roughly what you paid for the repair? And have any other related issues sprung up since the sensor was replaced? Cheers.
Ello! was it that quick? You'll make me blush! Anyway, talking about the repair, the bill I got was for about 290€. That cash went to getting the Insertion slot fixed which was being a bit of a pain. Was bit on the higher side, but hey, was worth it in the end if you ask me. Since getting that bloody Hall sensor sorted, I've had zero trouble on that front. Its been behaving like a well-trained puppy! So, once you get your hands dirty and root out that sensor issue, your Fiat Multipla will be back on its feet. Or should I say wheels? Anyway, I reckon your Fiat still got some good years ahead. So, no worries! Good luck with the fix and fingers crossed for you!
Oi your reply was faster than a Ferrari off the line! That price stings a bit, but if it brings my champ back to life, it's worth every dime. And the peace of mind that comes with no further issue is priceless. Thanks for the reassurance it's really helped to calm the nerves. Excited to get my Fiat pied piper playing its tunes smoothly again. Cheers and happy driving!
Hey! Just read your post and totally relate to the situation. I drive a '07 Fiat Panda, pretty similar to your Multipla. Last time I had almost identical issues, it turned out to be the ignition key Hall sensor causing the mischief. My ride was doing all sorts of crazy stuff: unusual warning lights, whimsical locking, and occasional non-starts. No fun at all, let me tell you. Took it to my local garage and after they ran some diagnostics, they pinpointed the defective sensor. They only had to replace that sensor. They didn't even have to dig deep into the engine or the ignition system. Must admit, I was pretty relieved it wasn't a more serious issue. After the fix, all the issues disappeared, so my guess is your hunch about the Hall sensor could be spot on. Just remember to breathe! It's not like your Fiat is giving up on you! Good luck.
