Seat heating without function

Hey there! I'm relieved to hear you've gone through the same stuff with your Ducato - hope my Freemont isn't far behind. Plumbing through frosty mornings without good old seat heat is no joke, right? Though you've mentioned it wasn't a harsh repair, do you remember how much it burnt a hole in your pocket? Also, since they've fixed the sucker, has there been any other mishap related to it? Thanks a ton for your insights! Appreciate it. Catch you later!
Hey! Ha, tell me about it - those chilly mornings are brutal without some seat heat! As for the cost, yeah it did set me back a bit. I shelled out around 390€ for the replacement of the defective heating mat. A bit steep, I know, but well worth it for the comfort in winter, don't you reckon? And in terms of any subsequent issues, honestly, it's been smooth sailing since the repairs. The mechanic did a top-notch job and I haven't had any heat-related problems since then. I reckon they fix things properly, the first time around! Hope that puts your mind at ease. Hit me back whenever you want to chat more about our Fiats and their quirks! Till then, take care!
Hey back, Yikes, 390€! That's not pocket change, but you're right, it's worth it for the winter comfort. Just got to hope my Freemont's issue isn't more complicated or dearer. Seriously glad to hear your Ducato's holding up well post-repair, I've got my fingers crossed for the same result. Thanks again for weighing in and sharing your wisdom. It's great to chat and relay Fiat experiences with someone who understands. Stay warm and catch up again soon! Cheerio!
Hey! I've had a similar hot-seat challenge with my 2011 Fiat Ducato. It's a pest when the seat warmer quits on a cold morning, eh? Anyway, checked mine to a garage after dealing with the cold tush for a bit. Turns out it was just as I suspected—the heating mat had conked out. Voila, it was the usual culprit! They started by testing the circuit and switch first to rule out those possibilities. Once they were sure it was the heating mat, they replaced the defective part. It was pretty nifty how they sorted it all out! Not quite a severe issue, seemed like one of those wear-and-tear things that happen with age and use. I was back in my cozy seat in no time, ready to take on the frosty mornings again. Hope this helps and that your seat heats up again soon! Cheers!
