Hey! Wow, your experience with the Doblo seems exactly like what I'm dealing with my Fiorino! Now, my mind is circling around the spark plug cable theory. I mean, with that one root issue causing such a domino effect, no wonder I've been chasing shadows! Quick question though: Do you remember how much you had to shell out for replacing the faulty cable? Would really help me estimate what I'm potentially looking at here. And since the repair, has anything else come up or has it been smooth sailing? Looking forward to your reply. Cheers!
Hey! You're spot on! One small defective spark plug cable can indeed set off a whole roller coaster of problems in your motor. After visiting the mechanic and sorting out this issue, not only did my Doblo stop chugging fuel like there's no tomorrow, but these composition errors disappeared. Oh, you're inquiring about the expenses? If I remember properly, squaring away that faulty cable set me back about 95.00 €. Wasn't exactly a steal but at least it got the job done in one go. As for your second question, since the fix up, no new headaches have cropped up. It’s been smooth sailing, frankly. The old Doblo's been running like a charm ever since! Fingers crossed your Fiorino's fix won't break the bank and get you back on the road soon enough! Cheers!
Hey! Thanks a bunch for the info! It's like a sigh of relief to know that it's your Doblo has been doing great since the repair, not to mention your mechanic didn't rob you blind for it. Honestly, I was bracing myself for a hefty repair bill! I'll be taking the Fiorino to the workshop tomorrow. Fingers crossed the mechanic finds the same problem as yours and it's just a matter of replacing the faulty cable. Hoping for a smooth ride like your Doblo post-repair. I appreciate your advice and sharing your experience. Car troubles can be such a pain without a helping hand. Your inputs were really helpful, will keep you updated with how things turn out! Cheers!
Hey there, Just reading your post, I thought: "That’s a situation I had last year with my 2015 Fiat Doblo!" It threw a lot of similar symptoms. The culprit in my case turned out to be a defective spark plug cable. The mechanic found it had gone bad and it was messing with my fuel mix as well, causing the unsteady engine behavior and bizarre fuel consumption. Also, the black smoke and the unusual odor were due to the same issue. Owing to this cable/plug failure, the engine's power was reduced, and it was cutting out unexpectedly too. In addition, a faulty plug cable can cause your engine light to come on, and even create stuttering issues during acceleration. So, the mechanic replaced the faulty spark plug cable and things have been smooth ever since. Not to worry much though. Despite the symptoms being pretty severe, this issue isn’t something unusual or unheard of. Any good mechanic should be able to diagnose it readily and set your ride right. Hope your Fiorino gets back to its perfect shape soon! Cheers!
