Hey, thanks for the quick reply! Your tip sounds pretty plausible, so I'll probably have to go through with it. Do you remember roughly how much the whole thing cost you? And have you had any further incidents since then, or was the repair to the control unit then off the table?

Hey, no problem! I remember that the repairs to the defective headlight control unit cost me around 630 Tacken. Maybe it's similar for you, but it always depends on the workshop. And yes, after this visit to the mechanic, the malfunction of the headlight leveling was solved and I haven't had any more trouble since. So fingers crossed that it works the same for you.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2008 Peugeot 405. The headlights were going crazy, sometimes shining into the sky or onto the ground, just like yours. It turned out that the headlight control unit was defective. It controls the automatic headlamp leveling system and if it breaks, the lights adjust themselves. The guys in the workshop had to remove the control unit and replace it with a new one. It was no small matter, it took a good while, but fortunately it wasn't a major problem. They fixed it quickly and I haven't had any problems with my headlights since. Hope this helps you and you get your problem solved!
