Hi buddy, thanks for your quick reply and for sharing your experience! Huge expense doesn't sound appealing, but it's at least reassuring to hear that you were able to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. I would also be interested to know how much it cost you to replace the steering angle sensor in the end? Did anything else come up afterwards or has everything really run smoothly since then? Thank you and best regards!

Hey buddy, glad I could help you. So, to the question about the cost: replacing the steering angle sensor wasn't cheap for me, but your case sounds a bit different. Since my visit to the mechanic, the parking aid has been running like clockwork again. It was only the cable connection that was faulty. The repair cost €170, which I thought was quite fair. Since then, everything has been really problem-free, no more stress with the electronics and the warning light has also gone. Get a few opinions before you decide, but I firmly believe that you will soon get the problem under control! Keep us up to date and best wishes!

Hey, thanks for sharing the info with me. 170€ sounds quite reasonable if it means it will solve the problem. Glad to hear everything is going smoothly for you. I'll definitely get some opinions and hope my mechanic finds and fixes the problem quickly too. I'll keep you posted and send my regards back!

Hi, it's difficult what you're going through with your Audi A4. I had a similar situation with my 2015 Audi A6. My parking aid had also failed and there were repeated sudden electrical failures. Just like you, a warning light came on in the speedometer. I immediately drove to my garage and the mechanics there read out the fault. It turned out that it had something to do with the steering angle sensor. It was probably faulty and had messed up the electronics of the whole car. Of course, this is not without its problems, but fortunately it was a technical issue and not a structural problem. The sensor had to be replaced, of course. All in all, it was a huge effort, but after the repair everything ran smoothly again. But before you take your car to any garage, I would advise you to get some opinions and check the expertise of the mechanics. I hope that this helps you and that you will soon have a functioning parking aid again. Good luck! Best regards.
