Failure of the headlight cleaning system on the 2015 Peugeot Boxer - searching for solutions and experiences

Headlight cleaning system without function

Hi guys, I currently have a small problem with my 2015 Peugeot Boxer (diesel engine, 121807 km run). The headlight washer system is simply not working. I suspect it could be due to the low level of the wiper fluid. Have any of you ever had problems like this? How did you solve it at the mechanic? After my last experience there, I'm a bit worried and would like some opinions before I go back. Thanks in advance!

Hi, so I recently had something similar with my 2012 Peugeot Expert. It turned out to be a fault in the communication between the ECUs, more specifically "Sporadic faulty communication between ECUs". However, it turned out to be very complicated to find out. In my workshop, they first had to restart the diagnostic equipment several times because they couldn't really get a clear answer. But after some trial and error, they realized that the problem was not as easy to solve as it seemed. They then spent several hours troubleshooting and finally managed to solve it. They had to update the software and renew certain connections. I have to say that it was quite a laborious process, but in the end they solved it. So my advice to you would be to let the professionals look at it. It could actually be a minor problem, but it could also be that an expert needs a hand. Good luck with that!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like a lot of trouble with your Expert. Did it put a lot of strain on your wallet? Have you had to go back to the garage since then? I hope not!

Hey, no problem! Yes, the fun cost me 955 euros. But everything has been fine since then, no more problems. Oh yeah, and the low wiper fluid level thing has also cleared up since I've been to the mechanic. So, yes, it was a bit of a hassle, but I'd say it was worth it. And you know, better to get it right once than half right twice, right?

Gosh, that's quite a hefty sum, but I'm glad to hear that your car was top notch again afterwards. I particularly like the saying you used at the end. It just sounds right, better right once than half right twice. So I think I'll take my Peugeot to the mechanic and hope for the best. Thanks again for your advice!
