Exploring Electrical Glitches and Navigational Issues in 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron

General electric malfunction

Navigationssystem is not working

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey! I'm a bit stumped with my 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron, Electric engine, clocked 55814 KM. It's showing up some funky electricity issues, nav system's busted and something's off with the warning light on the speedometer. My best guess is there's some control device communication glitch. Anyone else experienced this kind of stuff? Also, curious to hear anyone's mechanic stories who dealt with similar issues, since my last trip to the shop was nothing short of a nightmare. Cheers in advance.

Hey! Funny story, I ran into a pretty similar problem with my 2018 Audi Q6 alias ‘The Beast’. Everything went haywire, lights, navigation, the whole nine yards. Felt like the vehicle was having its own private disco, minus the music! After going round in circles, I finally took it to the garage. The main culprits were the cable connection of the control unit, and the connection to the BUS system, pesky little things. They had to be examined, replaced and reprogrammed because it wasn't letting any of the systems communicate properly. So yeah, your guess about a 'communication glitch' is spot-on. It wasn’t an easy feat but the guys at the garage had it handled pretty smoothly. I'll recommend not putting it off too much, cause it is indeed a serious issue. Messes with everything and you don't want that stubborn warning light to accompany your drives, right? Keep calm and get your car fixed. Cheers!

Hey there you'd think Audis had better communication tactics, right? Glad your ‘The Beast’ is back in action though. Now that you mention it, I've been noticing a similar pattern - my e-tron seems to be on a rebellious streak, throwing techno tantrums of its own. Your advice is really helpful, guess it's time to brace myself for another bitter mechanic saga. Just curious, your trip to the mechanic sounds interesting. If you don’t mind sharing, do you remember how much they fleeced you for? And did theyage to fix it up good or did any other sneaky issues pop up later? Always good to know what more surprises to expect with my unruly e-tron. Thanks again! Cheers!

Hey there, I totally feel your pain. Trust me, no one expects their Audi to morph into a techno rebel. But hey, apparently it's a thing! About your question – well, it wasn't exactly a joy ride, but the mechanic trip was well worth it in the end. My wallet was lightened by 155.00 €, but in return, they did a solid job on the Cable connection of the control unit and connection to the BUS system. Really can't complain there, they've put an end to 'The Beast's epic disco sessions! So far, thankfully, it's been all quiet on the western front – nothing creepy has crawled out of its hiding. The warning light has returned to its peaceful slumber and the gizmos are back to their non-rebellious selves. In fact, since the trip there's been no sign of the communication problem either. So I’d say, take the plunge and get your e-tron back in line too. Good luck and here's to a less eventful mechanic experience this time around. Cheers!

Hey! Ah, the joys of rebellious Audis, eh? Thanks for sharing your story, and giving me a bit more clarity on the whole ride. It's great to hear your 'The Beast' is back to its no-party mode with no extra bugs creeping out after the fix. Glad they sorted out the control unit too. And 155.00 €, well, I guess it’s a small price to pay for putting an end to the techno tantrums. So yeah, you've convinced me. I suppose it’s time to bite the bullet and go on a new mechanic adventure. Here's hoping my trip to the garage won't turn into something out of a horror movie sequel! Thanks for the advice and the wishes. Hoping for a smooth ride here on out. Cheers and take care!
