Hey guys, has anyone had any experience with the BMW 5 series (2016 model, diesel) having the navigation system go haywire? I think it might be a screen failure, but maybe someone of you has experienced something similar and was able to fix the problem in a workshop? Hello, I may be able to help a little here. I have some experience with cars, but I'm not an expert. I had a similar problem with my BMW 3 Series (built in 2014, diesel). In my case, the cable connection between the control unit and the display was defective, i.e. a bad connection. The people at my garage were really helpful. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it. The repair cost me 165 euros. Can you perhaps give more details about your car? Is it a specific model or have you made any special modifications? That might help to get a clearer picture of your problem.

Hi, thanks for your quick and helpful reply. This could be possible as I have not made any special modifications to my car and it is a standard model. I noticed that the problem occurred after my last thorough inspection and replacement of the brake pads, which was at a mileage of 82360 km. Perhaps something was damaged in the cable or the control unit. I will definitely take it up with my garage. Hopefully it won't be too expensive...
