Hey your issue sounds a tad familiar to me. I had a similar problem with my Dacia Logan '09 a couple of years back. Almost the same symptoms - erratic shifts, grinding noise, the whole works. It definitely caused quite a scare! Like you and, I thought it might be the transmission oil pressure sensor; but to my surprise, it turned out to be a problem with the transmission's clutch pack. Who knew, right? Had to get it replaced and it turned out alright in the end, no more funky noises or shifts. By the way, do you recall how much you had to shell out for your Solenza's repairs,? And have you noticed any problems with your car since you got that sorted? Hope all's been good!
Hey! Well, you won't believe it, but the mechanic visit was actually smooth this time. You were right on the money - it was, in fact, a malfunctioning transmission oil pressure sensor. I was pretty glad I didn't postpone the visit too much. Speaking of costs, it was a bit of a bite; I had to cough up 365€. Not just for the sensor, but the transmission oil level was also running a bit low, so that needed fixing too. But gotta say, the car's been performing like a trooper since then. No more grinding sounds or erratic shifts. It feels like my Solenza got back its youth. So all in all, a bit pricey but definitely worth it for the peace of mind. Hope this helps with your Logan and fingers crossed it's just a minor problem. Take care, drive safe!
Heys! What relief! All your insights and personal experiences sincerely brought some light into this dark mystery of mine. Who would have thought that a community online could be such an awesome pit crew, right? Anyway, following your advice, I took my old Logan to a different mechanic yesterday, trying not to repeat the last foul experience. Just got a call this morning that the transmission oil pressure sensor was indeed misbehaving and causing all the troubles. They also discovered a low transmission fluid situation, just like with your Solenza. The repair is going to ding my wallet by roughly 385€, a tad more than your bill, but I will have my Logan back on track, so it's all worth the hassle. Thanks again, guys. You've been seriously helpful. Cheers to smoother journeys ahead! Drive safe, everyone.
Hey there, You know, you might be onto something with the transmission oil pressure sensor, but these symptoms could also indicate a low transmission oil level, saying from my own experience. I had similar issues with my 2005 Dacia Solenza a while back - grinding noises, erratic shifts, and an pesky warning light that just wouldn't go away. Took it into the garage, and what did they find? Transmission oil level was way too low. It's vital because the transmission oil lubricates, cools and cleans internal transmission parts. So, its low level could indeed replicate the exact issues that you're experiencing right now. Bear in mind, it was a serious issue. Ignoring it may further cause more critical problems in the long run, potentially even damaging the transmission. But once the oil was topped up and some minor repairs were done, the ol' Solenza was back in game. That's my two cents. Hope your Logan gets well soon!
