Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a déjà vu here. I encountered the same issue with my Sandero a while back. Sure enough, it was the battery temperature sensor acting up. Looks like it's a common repercussion in our Dacias!, just out of curiosity, roughly how much did you shell out to get it fixed? And, fingers crossed, any other problems ever since then? I've got my car booked in next week, trying to get a heads up on the potential damages. Cheers!
Hey, you're totally right, it's a pretty pesky issue in our Dacias, isn't it? Anyway, I remember paying around €315 to get that little monster of a sensor dealt with. Can't say I was jazzed about forking over the cash, but honestly, it's not the worst car problem I've paid for. And thankfully, the bugger's been behaving itself ever since the fix. No more flickering lights like a haunted house or sputtery starts in the morning, everything's been shipshape. Definitely get it checked out during your appointment. Here's to hoping your ride behaves as good as mine post repair. Good luck!
Aw, the mysterious little sensor, ain't it a pain! I appreciate the insights. It kinda eases my mind knowing it's not an exclusive issue and has been dealt with successfully in the past. That price tag, though - phew, it stings a bit, doesn't it? Well, nothing more fun than dealing with car bugbears. Anyway, my appointment's marked down for the next week. Hope the stars align, and my Sandero purrs smoothly just like yours, post the repair session. If anything hit or miss comes up, I'll definitely loop you guys in. Thanks a ton for your help, really appreciate it. Cheers and fingers crossed!
Hey! I feel ya. Just last year I had a similar issue with my 2013 Dacia Logan, diesel though, but the symptoms were pretty identical; dimmed lights, weak battery during start-up. Turned out it was the battery temperature sensor causing all the fuss indeed. Just like you, I was a little skeptical about going back to my usual bloke after a previous incident (less said, the better) but I bit the bullet, gave him another chance and it turned out well. It was relatively a simple job of replacing the old sensor. To be fair, I reckon it was more inconvenience than any grave, serious business. No subsequent issues in that department ever since. Hope this clears up some doubts for you. You should definitely get someone to check that sensor. Good luck!
