Hey, thanks for the quick reply! That sounds like a decent breakdown service. Do you remember how much the whole thing cost you? And has there been any more trouble with the electronics since then? My helmet is already burning at the thought of the possible invoice amounts, I have no idea where I'm going to find the money. I'd be enormously grateful to you, man!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! To give you an idea, the troubleshooting and replacement of the central gateway cost a whopping €880. But no stress, since then everything has been running perfectly again and the annoying warning light has also given up the ghost, thank goodness. The MOST bus error has been completely rectified and since then - good luck - no more electronic problems. I can really understand your concerns, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. And in the end, you see, it was worth it. Cheer up, man!

Jo, you're probably right. Just take a deep breath and hope for the best. Your answer really helped me and also calmed me down a bit. So thanks again, man! I'm going to make the appointment with the mechanic on Monday and hope that everything will be back on track after that and I won't have to go there so often. See you around!

@CarFreak
Good day, I am seeking advice on electronic failures and warning lights in BMW 3 Series (2011) with 190,900 km. Have you encountered similar issues? Please share your experiences, solutions, and tips for diagnosis and repair. Your input is highly appreciated!
The issues you're experiencing could be due to a number of reasons. It could be a faulty sensor, a problem with the wiring, or even a malfunctioning control unit. Start by checking the error codes with an OBD2 scanner. This will give you a clearer picture of what might be causing the problem. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, I would recommend taking your car to a professional mechanic for a thorough diagnosis. Remember, issues with electronics can be safety-relevant, so it's important to get them checked out as soon as possible.
I had similar problems with my 2010 BMW 3 Series, although it was a diesel, but I don't think that matters here. I also had electronic failures and the warning light just wouldn't go out. In the end, it was actually a problem with the MOST bus. The mechanic then replaced the MOST bus and everything ran smoothly again. So it was a serious problem, but it was easy to solve. Hope that helps you, man! Good luck with your car!
