Hi, thanks for your reply! My current mileage is 136275 KM and the last inspection was recently, so everything else should be fine. The car actually drives normally, but when I brake, I can feel that the ABS is not working. There is no clicking noise and the brake pedal is not hard. I've heard it could be the speed sensor, but I'm no expert.... I will probably have to take it to the garage. Thanks for the tip about the ABS control unit, I'll keep that in mind! Best regards

Moin, yes, that definitely sounds like a problem that you should have checked at the garage. I once had similar symptoms with my RAV4 and it turned out that one of the speed sensors was faulty. It cost around 200 euros, which is considerably less than a new ABS control unit. But without a diagnosis, it's all just speculation. In your case, the error with the speed signal could actually indicate a defective speed sensor, as you already suspected. Be sure to have this checked before you embark on any major and expensive repairs. Good luck with the repair and let us know what it was in the end! Greetings!

Hi, thanks for your advice! I will definitely have the speed sensors checked and hope it's nothing major. It's reassuring to hear that it doesn't necessarily have to be the ABS control unit. I'll let you know what comes out at the garage. Thanks again for the support! Bye!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Toyota RAV4. I only have some experience with cars, but when my ABS light came on, I had to go to the garage as it was something I couldn't fix myself. The problem was a faulty ABS control unit. The repair cost me 1000 euros. Of course, it could be something else in your case, it's definitely worth having it checked. Could you perhaps tell us more about the symptoms and the exact condition of your car? That would help to better understand your problem. Good luck!
