Hey there, sorry to hear that your Kia Pro Ceed's acting up. But hey, the problem you're facing sounds quite similar to what went through with their Sorento. DSC issue sounds pretty plausible. Just out of curiosity, do you remember how much you shelled out to get it fixed? And has there been any new problems with your Sorento since the DSC was recalibrated? Really appreciate any additional insights you could share, cheers!
Hey! You bet, I remember the repair costs pretty well - it didn't put a dent in my wallet at all. The issue with the consequential error in the dynamic stability control got sorted for a grand total of, wait for it...0.00 €. Yep, you heard right, not a single euro! The garage I went to was top-notch and they took it as part of standard service, believe it or not. As for your second question about any recurring issues, well, it's been smooth sailing ever since! They nailed the DSC issue down and tidied it up good. Moreover, the transfer case emergency running control, which we initially thought could have been the culprit, was thankfully fine. That drama got put to bed by the mechanic during the same visit. So, all in all, couldn't be happier with how things turned out. Take care of that Pro Ceed of yours, and I'm sure she'll bounce back just fine. Cheers!
Wow, free of charge, eh? Now that's a nice surprise! Your experience definitely eases my nerves, thanks for sharing. Sure puts a new spin on things. A DSC problem is less intimidating and complex than a transfer case emergency running control issue for sure. I'm gonna get it over to my garage and have them check out the DSC straight away. Hoping for a smooth ride, post-repairs! Appreciate both of your inputs. Will keep you updated once this is sorted. Cheers till then!
Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble with your Pro Ceed. Can definitely relate, my 2011 Kia Sorento landed me in a pickle a while back with an error very much like yours - gnashing noises and everything. Turned out it was a consequential error in the dynamic stability control. Don't fret, it sounds like some Elon Musk rocket science, but it's a pretty standard fix for any good garage. Last time I had it in the shop for service, they sorted it by basically recalibrating the DSC. This controlled the errant transmission shifting and quashed those pesky ABS warning lights. Also handled the whining noises. The job involved checking the sensors, making necessary adjustments, and running a comprehensive system test afterwards. I must admit, it wasn't the most minor issue considering how crucial DSC is to safe driving, but thankful it wasn't worse. So don't sweat it too much. Take it into a garage you trust, mention about checking out the DSC. You'd probably find that's where the culprit is hiding. Let's hope your car gets back on track soon!
