Hi, thanks for your quick reply and the information about your experience with the accelerator pedal module! That could really be the problem, I wouldn't have had it on my radar without your help. Do you happen to remember how much the repair cost back then? And has anything similar happened since then or has your car been running smoothly since the module was replaced? Thank you in any case, that helps me a lot!

Hello, no problem, that's what we're here for! Yes, I can still remember the cost. It was about 205 € for the repair of the defective accelerator pedal module. I was a bit surprised at the price, but it was worth it for the permanent solution to the problem. Well, since the visit to the mechanic, the problem with the faulty throttle has been fixed and I haven't had any similar problems since. It used to be pretty bitchy on acceleration too, but since replacing the module it runs like a kitten! So yes, definitely get the accelerator pedal module checked at your next workshop visit. I hope it runs as smoothly for you as it did for me. Good luck fixing the problem and keep us posted!

Hi, great, thank you for these clues and the information about the costs! That makes things a bit clearer for me. It's great to hear that your car is running smoothly again after the repair - that gives me hope! I'll have the accelerator pedal module looked at the next time I visit the garage. I'll definitely go there a little more reassured with that tip. It's really great that you took the time to help me. I'll definitely let you know if anything new comes up. Thanks again and see you then!

Hey, I had similar problems with my 2011 Peugeot 508, same symptoms: Engine warning light, jerky engine, more fuel consumption. After closer inspection at the garage, it turned out that the accelerator pedal module was faulty. It's definitely a serious problem, but don't worry, it can be fixed. On my car, they had to replace the faulty accelerator pedal module. So, in my opinion, it may not be the throttle, but the accelerator pedal module. I would suggest having this checked at your nearest garage. Good luck!
