Engine problems: Renault Master shuts down and loses compression
Hi all, I have a 2008 Renault Master which has covered 28,000 km and I have encountered a problem. After the car was stationary for three weeks after the Christmas holidays, I started it and after two minutes I heard a harsh noise and the engine shut down. When I tried to start again it felt like the engine was lacking compression, it went around easily when I turned the starter. I have checked the timing belt and it had not seized. I took the engine out and checked the cylinder heads, camshafts, valves and pushers. Two pushers felt very loose, as if they lacked oil pressure. I ordered new cylinder head gasket, two new pushers, timing belt and cylinder head bolt. I also checked the drives at the crankshaft. After putting everything back together and adding new oil and filter, the engine started and ran fine for 20 seconds before the same symptom occurred again. The engine again feels out of compression. What could this be due to? Anyone have experience with similar problems or tips on what I can check next?

Check the battery voltage and ensure it's fully charged, as a weak battery can cause starting issues and affect the engine's performance. If the battery is fine, inspect the starter motor and its connections for any signs of wear or damage. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
