Hey, thanks for your reply! That reassures me a little that it was "only" a software problem in your case. Can you still remember what the update cost you at your mechanic? And have you noticed any after-effects or similar problems since then? Thank you and best regards!

Hey, I'm glad I could help you a little! The update cost me €45 at the time. Not exactly a bargain, but definitely cheaper than a new engine, right? Since my visit to the mechanic and the repair of the faulty fuel pump, my Skoda has been running like clockwork! Don't worry, I haven't noticed any after effects or similar trouble since. All the best and best wishes!

Hey, that's really helpful, thank you very much! 45 euros sounds really fair, especially compared to the cost of a new engine. I'm relieved to hear that everything is running smoothly for you and no other problems have arisen. I think it's definitely worth looking into and I'll contact my mechanic to get it checked out. Thanks again for your help and best wishes!

Hello, I had similar problems with my Skoda Superb 2014 Diesel. I also had the check engine light come on and the engine just stopped, sometimes even when accelerating. After some investigation, it turned out that "incorrect software values for the fuel pump" were the problem. My mechanic had to update the software and after a few days everything was fine again. It was nothing major, but definitely something that shouldn't be ignored as it can lead to bigger problems in the long run. Hope this helps a little. All the best! Best regards!
